Early Childhood Teacher Tamworth

Carinya Christian School Tamworth is now receiving applications for the position of Early Childhood Teacher, commencing immediately.

The Applicant

Applicants must be committed Christians of reformed evangelical persuasion and be suitably qualified to fill the position of Early Childhood Teacher within the school.

The School

Carinya Tamworth is a Prep to Year 12 co-educational school. The school has a strong academic profile and a broad sporting and extra curricular program.

Over 400 families form part of the school community and more than 660 students enrolled at the Tamworth school.

The Position

The position is offered as a Permanent Part Time Early Childhood Teacher position, working 1 day per week in Carinya's Kindergarten Preparatory Program.

Working as part of a dedicated team of experienced teachers, this is an excellent opportunity for new scheme teachers to commence their teaching career in a supportive, professional environment.

Teachers at Carinya are employed under the Independent Schools NSW Standards Model Carinya Christian School Agreement. This agreement provides entitlements which are above the industry average and enables career progression based upon professional development rather than years of service.

Professional development is a priority for the school and two non-teaching weeks are set aside each year during student vacation for all staff to collectively participate in Curriculum and Professional Development. Carinya Term Dates do not match NSW Public Schools and can be viewed via the school website.

The minimum qualification required is an Early Childhood Teaching degree or equivalent. Applicants must be able to take directions and work as part of a team, have a genuine passion for working with children and be confident in engaging in the documentation of children’s learning.

Early Childhood Teachers (ECT) will be paid under the Carinya Christian School Independent School’s Standards Model.

Carinya Christian School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the safety, welfare and wellbeing of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. Applicants will need to provide the NSW Working With Children Check Number with their application.

Carinya’s Kindergarten Preparatory Program caters for 3 to 5 year olds in a play based learning environment which seeks to grow and nurture children in these precious years. The program operates from 8:20am to 3:40pm, 5 days per week, during school term.
