English / History Teacher Tamworth

Carinya Christian School Tamworth is now receiving applications for the position of English / History Teacher, commencing Term 1 2017.

The Applicant

Applicants must be committed Christians of reformed evangelical persuasion and be suitably qualified to fill this role within the school.

Applicants must be able to illustrate from their work history and experience a capacity to fulfill the role.

The Position

The position is Permanent Full Time, however consideration will be given to applicants only seeking a Permanent Part Time load.

Successful applicants would be expected to teach English and History subjects and participate in extra-curriciular sporting activities.

The School

Carinya Tamworth is a K to 12 co-educational school. The school has a strong academic profile and a broad sporting and extra curricular program.

Over 370 families form part of the school community and more than 610 students are currently enrolled at the Tamworth school.

A strong focus on professional development and teaching standards exists within the school and staff are encouraged to seek progression against the National Teaching Standards.

Professional development is an important priority of the school and two non-teaching weeks are set aside each year during student vacation for all staff to collectively participate in Curriculum and Professional development. Carinya Term Dates do not match NSW Public Schools and can be reviewed via the school website.
