Prep - Year 4 Grandparents and Special Visitors Day
We honour grandparents and acknowledge the valuable insights and guidance that older people bring our children through the Grandparents and Special Visitors Day! Grandparents and special visitors are invited to Carinya to enjoy a concert, morning tea and fun classroom activities, with the opportunity to sign out students from 12:30pm to spend the afternoon doing something special together.
Year 12 TriFreedom Fundraiser
On Friday 10th June, Year 12 is hosting their fundraiser lunch, with all funds going to Tri-Freedom, which is a local charity that seeks to end human trafficking.
Students in Years 7-12 will be able to purchase a range of cakes, sweets and baked goods, and enjoy an entertaining Fire Noodle Challenge!
ORDERS DUE TODAY (Monday 6th June): Parents can pre-order sausage sizzles for their children via the TASS Parent Lounge for students to have for lunch on the day.
Tamworth Agricultural Careers Expo
The Agricultural Careers Expo is dedicated to educate and assist Years 9-12 students and teachers located in rural and remote regional NSW on the vast range of professions available in agriculture, research, science, technologies and agribusiness.

Year 4 Chinese New Year Dress Up Day
As Year 4 students discover the culture and history of China, they are celebrating Chinese New Year with a Dress Up Day!
Prep - Year 4 Picnic
Prep to Year 4 families are invited to come together at school for a sausage sizzle picnic dinner. There will be no formal events for the night, with the aim of the evening being to have a relaxed time together as a community where parents and carers can meet each other and the class teachers.
LOCATION: Small oval, basketball courts, large oval and cricket nets.
PARKING: Please park in the Raywood Drive carpark. Limited parking will be available via Boronia Drive.
BRING: Picnic chairs or rug.
WEAR: Sun safe casual clothing. Those participating in the slip and slides will need swimmers, towel and change of clothes.
COVID-19: Please be COVID safe by practicing social distancing, hand sanitising and stay home if you or one of your household members are showing symptoms or have tested positive for COVID-19 and are still in the isolation period. Masks are not mandatory in outdoor settings however you may choose to wear one.

Welcome BBQ and Classroom Visit
As we start a new school year, parents and carers will have a lovely opportunity to meet their child’s teachers and build community with other families in Carinya Gunnedah at the Welcome BBQ and Classroom Visit.
Each year, Carinya Gunnedah runs a Welcome Barbeque and Parent Information Evening and, while COVID-19 has changed the format of this evening, we sincerely hope that you will join us for an outdoor sausage sizzle dinner, enjoy some warm hospitality and welcome the opportunity to walk through your child’s classroom.
RSVP is not required, and there will be plenty of sausages, tea, coffee available that cater for all the relevant dietary needs.
